French Foliage Falling Leaves Card

Tuesday, September 25, 2012

I've got a special treat to share!  This beautiful one layer card is made by my good friend Meghan.  The colours remind me of the trees here in Edmonton!

Meghan masked the area where the Thank You is stamped and used some random stamping to get the falling leaves effect.

Thanks for sharing Meghan!  Keep sending me those beautiful cards!

Here's what you will need to recreate this beauty:

Vanilla card stock
French foliage stamp set
Elegant thank you stamp
Ink Colours: More mustard, pumpkin pie, cherry cobbler and always artichoke
Extra large decorative label punch for masking

Swap Card on Stampin' Up Boards!

Sunday, September 16, 2012

Ok, I am so excited!  I was checking out pictures of some Stampin' Up! Regional Conventions in the US and saw my swap card on the Halloween Board!!!  It feels awesome!  Here is the post I had for my swap card:

Here is the swap I brought with me to Convention.  Now, I have a confession to make.  I actually kept forgetting to make swaps because work and family life was getting very busy.  So the day before leaving, I enlisted the help of my mom to pump out a whole bunch of swaps.  Here is the creation we made.  I love it!!

Those who know me well know that I have not been super fond of Halloween BUT since having my girls, I have slowly started to enjoy it more through their eyes.  But since seeing the Googly Ghouls set in the new Holiday Catalogue coming out on August 01, 2012, I am loving Halloween themed cards!

There are so many sneak peeks in this card!  Wood grained embossing folder, GOOGLY EYES!!!, new sanding blocks, and new Core'dinations paper in Early Espresso!

This card will put a smile on anyone's face who opens it in the mail!

Leave your comments here!  I want to know, is this card cute or what??  :)

Halloween Favours

Thursday, September 6, 2012

As some of you may already know, my favourite new stamp set is "Googly Ghouls".  I just love cute Halloween items!

Here is a great and super simple idea to make some Halloween favours for school, daycare, or even your coworkers!

Stamp any Googly Ghoul in Pumpkin Pie or Tangerine Tango.  Punch with the Postage Stamp Punch. Snail on to a piece of folded Basic Black Cardstock and snail onto the top of our 1x8 inch cellophane bags (super duper inexpensive bags!!).

Don't forget to add our NEW Googly Eyes self-adhesive 3-D stickers!  And VOILA!

Don't forget!  This is a super easy craft for your kids to do.  My daughter stamped the image and punched it out!

What do you think?  I would love to hear!
